Feeding FOSH

Friends of the Swainson's Hawk (FOSH) is a grassroots volunteer organization with an annual budget of less than $20,000 per year. On request, we can provide you with our budget. Our annual report, Strategic Plan and Conservation Strategy are available on this website. You can also email any questions to (contact@swainsonshawk.org). Your donations make a difference. We spend your money on office supplies, rent for our small office, phone, internet and email service, public education materials, events to outreach to the public, and expenses for awareness campaigns and lawsuits. Most recently we've acquired a taxidermied speciment of a young Swainson's Hawk for display, new educational panels for display at festivals, and paid the costs for a free public program on wintering raptors.

How to Give:

• You can make a tax deductible donation online through Google checkout to FOSH, a 501-c-3 non profit. Just enter the dollar amount you want to give and click through. If you do not have a Google Account, you will be asked to set one up. This is a free service and allows you to make credit card purchases with the protection of a Google Account.

Google checkout for Non-Profits provides for secure on line donation. Google Checkout Privacy Policy is available when you sign up for your account.

• You can donate by mailing a tax deductible check to FOSH, a 501-c-3 non profit.

• You can donate by making your check out (or designating your donation in your will) to the Swainson's Hawk Endowment Fund at the Sacramento Region Community Foundation. The Endowment is a permanent fund that will provide income to protect the Swainson's Hawk in perpetuity.

All these kinds of donations are tax deductible and you will receive an acknowledgement for your tax records.
