Legal Counsel James P. Pachl, Attorney at Law
Mr. Pachl (J.D., 1969, Boalt Hall Law School, University of California), a member of the California Bar, devotes his time to Friends of the Swainson’s Hawk. He was a founding member of the Board of the Friends of Swainson’s Hawk; also, Board of Directors, Friends of the Estuary; Sierra Club California, Northern California Conservation Chair (1988-90); Executive Committee of Sierra Club California (1986-91). He served 12 years (1987-1995) as a Board Member of the Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC). He has also been a member of the Board of the Environmental Council of Sacramento for many years, and on the Conservation Committee of the Sierra Club Mother Lode Chapter.

Mr. Pachl currently represents Friends of the Swainson's Hawk in litigation challenging Sacramento LAFCo and City of Sacramento approval of the annexation of the Greenbriar Project.
