Vision
Limit development to ensure permanent protection of wildlife and agriculture. Establish preserve lands as part of a mosaic of private agricultural lands, airport buffer lands and parks
1000 acre preserve areas to surround Fisherman's Lake, Northern Sacramento County (surround "snake alley") and 2500 acres in western Sutter portion of Natomas Basin
vegetated and protected canals linking preserve areas, and ag lands, with pedestrian access on canal maintenance roads to allow appreciation of nature in the Basin
no more development in the Swainson's Hawk zone; Sacramento International Airport stays within its present fence
community participation in planning and protecting wild resources, land use, floodplain and water resource
restoration of riparian areas like Fisherman's Lake, Pritchard's Lake and Jacob Slough and permanent preservation of riparian areas like Natomas Mutual Water Company ponds
Basin wide monitoring of species health
Major tree planting program (thousands of new trees in the basin)
Enforcement of mitigation requirements on all development
Revenue sharing and joint land use planning for compact and efficient urban land use and permanent protection of agricultural lands
